Christmas spirit invaded Poble Espanyol from December 6th to 10th. The premises were turned into an impressive themed space unlike any other in the city, where you could come to witness and experience some of the most deeply rooted Catalan traditions such as live nativity scenes, or participate in the typical Catalan tradition of making the Tió wood log (Cagatió) “poo-out” the presents, while singing along to the popular song. There also was a cavern with wonderful Catalan cooking and a popular escudella (traditional Catalan Christmas stew)… For more experience like that and a perfect holiday, get the most unique experience with BE Apartment in the best luxury apartments in Barcelona and other cities, for your security, pleasure and comfort.
The Plaza Mayor became the neuralgic center of the Poble Espanyol with a Christmas market where you could find decorations to use in your home as well as traditional foods or crafts. While Christmas joy is also contagious to adults, children are indisputably the protagonists of the celebration, which is why there has been prepared a wide range of Christmas activities for children with workshops, animation, performances, film projections (Andorra Kids’ Film Festival), children make up and etc. The most highly anticipated moment was a visit to Santa Claus’ House, where children gave him their letters and tried to convince him that they have been good during the year and that Santa should bring them what they’d asked for. This Christmas party in the Poble Espanyol will continue again starting on December 21 til January 5!
